Composite Slate Roofs

This roof has been completed using a composite slate with a riven edge and textured face to give the impression of a natural slate.  This system is slightly more expensive than a standard composite slate but does offer the look of a Natural slate at a much reduced cost.  The slate has a 30 year guarantee against early breakdown and discolouration.

These pics show a composite slate roof recently installed at Willings Passage, Pembroke.  We were also instructed to install new PVC-u guttering and paint the building with a weathershield decorative paint.

This is a roof we completed in Clynderwen in 2007.  The original roof was a natural slate roof which ran through two properties.  Both houses decided to have their roofs replaced at the same time.  On this property the client opted for a man made non-asbestos composite slate.  These slates offer exceptional value for money and provide a neat finish.

The two properties roofs were split using a secret valley which provides a secure seal which is very tidy removing the need for unsightly lead running down the join.

These two roofs give you a good look close up of the differences in the finish of a standard composite slate and the Nu-Lok ceramic slate.  These composite slates offer a 30 year manufacturer guarantee on the slates only whilst the Nu-Lok system offers a 50 year guarantee on all materials and installation.
